LIM KAI YI is a 21-year-old from Penang, Malaysia, who is currently pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Arts (Honours) in English Language and Communication at UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus, Malaysia.

He is a hyperpolyglot who is fluent in 6 languages (English, Malay, Mandarin, Hakka, Cantonese and Hokkein) and he is also capable of understanding some basic  / written forms of 10+ other languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Norwegian, Swedish, Indonesian, Romanian, Russian etc.).

LIM KAI YI is also a 134-time Official Guinness World Record holder as of 2025, wherein he has amassed a total of 2,068 official world record titles recognised by 26 different Official World Record Certification Organisations based in 9 countries (The United Kingdom, The United States, China, Germany, Finland, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Slovakia). LIM KAI YI is currently ranked #1 in Asia in terms of the most concurrent Official Guinness World Record titles held at 66.

Apart from that, LIM KAI YI is a seasoned public speaker, having won official competitions up till state levels since the age of 12, wherein he has collected a total of 12 awards, which includes 5 wins, 1 first runner-up placing, and 1 second runner-up placing, 1 fifth-place award, 1 merit award and 3 consolation awards as of 2024. LIM KAI YI is also an established Toastmasters International member at the Taman Connaught Toastmasters International Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, having served as the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) for the July to December 2024 term.

LIM KAI YI is also a top performer in academics, having scored 7 As and 1 B in UPSR 2016; 7 As and 1 B in PT3 2019; as well as having achieved straight / 10 As in SPM 2021, which consisted of 3 A+s, 4 As, and 3 A-s. LIM KAI YI has achieved decent grades in his undergraduate studies too, having achieved a CGPA of 3.74 for his Foundation in Arts at UCSI University, as well as a current CGPA of 3.71 for his Bachelor's degree after seven semesters.

Even though LIM KAI YI appears to be a top scholar, that does not imply that he fails to excel in non-academic fields. LIM KAI YI is in fact an excellent achiever when it comes to sports, since he has achieved a total of 23 medals related to sporting events such as athletics (sprinting, hurdling, high-jumping, long-jumping, relay sprinting etc.), swimming, football, basketball, table tennis (ping pong) etc. since 2007, which includes 6 golds, 6 silvers, 4 bronzes, and 1 fourteenth-place award.

LIM KAI YI is also no stranger to media exposure, as in he has been on live television broadcasted across channels in Malaysia, Italy, the United States, as well as in the United Kingdom. LIM KAI YI has been featured on shows like Mandarin Battle Star on NTV7 in 2016; Lo Show dei Records 2023 on Channel 5 by Mediaset Infinity, or the Italian version of the Official Guinness World Records Show in Milan, Italy; and "The One Thing", which was broadcasted on DaVinci, a TV channel based in the UK, wherein this episode was also made available on Apple TV.

Apart from that, LIM KAI YI has also been featured in articles as well as in newspapers by over 100 different news outlets and authorised sources, as a result of the multitude of official world records which he has managed to achieve.

Moreover, LIM KAI YI has even been featured in books, for instance in page 66 of Clive Gifford's "The Book of Time" (2023), whereby his former Official Guinness World Record Title for the "Fastest Time to Arrange a Deck of Playing Cards" at 35.20 seconds was published as part of the book. LIM KAI YI also currently holds the aforementioned Official Guinness World Record title at 31.74 seconds.

LIM KAI YI is an established singer as well, given that he is an operatic bass vocalist who has amassed 11 awards in singing competitions, consisting of 1 golds, 6 silvers, 2 bronzes, 1 merit award & 1 consolation award as of 2020. LIM KAI YI is equipped with a vocal range which spans across 5 full octaves, with which he can fully utilise in operatic singing.

LIM KAI YI is a world-class puzzle speedsolver too, justified through the fact that he has officially podiumed a total of 56 times in official puzzle-solving competitions as of 2026, having won 19 golds, 14 silvers, 12 bronzes, 1 fourth-place award, 3 fifth-place awards, 1 sixth-place award, 1 seventh-place award, 2 eight-place awards, 1 ninth-place award, 1 eighteenth-place award, as well as 1 nineteenth-place award. A large portion of his official world records are also related to puzzle-solving, which further fortifies this claim.

LIM KAI YI is also a veteran in content creation and social media marketing, as he has successfully garnered over 700,000 subscribers / followers and 300,000,000+ views / likes across several social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly known as Twitter), Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu (Red), BiliBili, DouYin etc. He was also awarded with a Silver Play Button by the YouTube Officials as a token of achievement.
